i have a question and far as the oil feed and retun ports go.....i understand that the feed and return should be at a 12 and 6 o`clock position......however i am running into clearance issues.( manifold was welded a bit off)....any my question is....Can the center section be a hair over to the side more like a 6:30 position...my AN fitting is hitting the trans and just curious if i could tilt the center section a hair ar so to clear it....

Yeah, you should be fine, ideal is straight up/down, but clearance issues cause a lot of us (me included), to have to offset it a bit. As long as you don't go to like the 4:30 or 7:30 position, then you should be fine.

General rule of thumb is, you want the oil return no more than 30 degrees from the bottom. Clocking the center section if you need to, just beat on it (honestly you have to beat on it good) to break lose and rotate.
