i have a 95 2.3 LO engine....or a 97 2.4l engine....i have 1 5 speed getrag which will hook to either.....my question
which wil handle boost better built?......
now i was told to swap for the 086 head...but compression would be too high for boost...but if i built it i could drop compression....
i just dont know.......
which engine do u guys think in the long run will be worth building....

Um. Do more research man.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
yea.... definately rethink those injectors and if 13's will make you happy you wont needa do the head swap or build the engine. proper engine management will take you ALOT further then bolted on parts if you want to go fast reliably.

You could build it but you would need some real low compression pistons. Ideally, if you're going to drop compression, you'd want to probably be around 9:1 or 8.5:1 compression ratio (well these are what are mostly aimed for boosted applications). With an 086 Head, you'd shoot up to about 11.5:1 compression on your stock pistons which are about 9.x:1 compression. You do the math...
As far as 21# injectors on 10 PSI...that wouldn't work well. Like SunfighterGT said, do more research on them. You can do searches on the Ford Injectors (not sure but I think some of the DSM injectors might work as well).
If you have anymore questions, just ask.

hahaha 21lbs injectors? stock are 24lbs.
The 95 2.3 and the 2.4 is the same engine when you look at it. Only difference is the displacement. With the 2.3, you would not have to drop the compression for the 086 head since ALL 2.3 head have the same combustion chamber size.
