It's a joke. Complete and utter joke. STAY AWAY.

As a base kit allowing for expandability (ie. purchasing the fuel mods seperately and what have you), what opinions then?
Don't worry, I don't intend to buy, just throwing another question into the mix.
Lowfire did the comparision awhile back, he found his e-bay acount, looked up past purchases and stuff and compared what he found to the turbo kit. The turbo kit is a bunch of stuff bought off e-bay and resold for literelly twice the price. Nothing in the kit has research and design put into it and like said above no fuel mods. Your better off piecing together your own turbo kit, you can get every part of it off e-bay for half the price. Last time I heard about there kits they didn't even come with a downpipe because everythign in the kit is universal.
I read the title and thought, "Here we go AGAIN"....

You could always try RSM racing for boost on your LN2, or maybe Exploited Racing....how about JBP? Oh wait, according to this site...THEY ALL SUCK. Find someone with engineering skills and have help build a kit, because you'll find no positive opinions here on the available kits
yea...boost would be nice...yea
There's plenty of positive feedback on the Jtuners and HRC LN2 kits. RSM and MaxBoost arre just total jokes.

You're right, Jtuners is probably the only complete kit out there that I would consider for the cavy. But, if someone decided they had something bad to say about it, everyone else would likely chime in that they never liked the kit/company anyway. It's just the way it works around here.

Yep, so lets all just give good reviews to bad companies so more people get ripped off with crap. RSM has been proven on more than one occasion to be an outright FRAUD. Exploited, i'll give brian the benefit of the doubt for getting in over his head, but there were PLENTY of his manifolds out there that cracked, and PLENTY of people who never got their parts or waited ridiculously long periods of time for them. MaxBoost has been proven to be recycled ebay parts put together by some 18 year old kid and sold as a "pick your part" box with no engineering put into it at all. Why should anyone give these "companies" respect? And yes, if Hahn or Jtuners started doing the same shoddy work and shady business practices, they WOULD be treated the same, as they SHOULD be. Just because your aftermarket sources for parts are limited doesn't mean you should be willing to accept CRAPPY PARTS or CRAPPY SERVICE, PERIOD.

That's why I suggested getting help to engineer his own kit... What fires me up is that fact that ONE guy may get a bum deal on a product/service and post it on here, and all of a sudden EVERYONE is flaming that company with no personal experience to back it up. I joined this board a couple years back when i got my cavy as a research tool. But on this forum, even if one person brings a negative review/comments, it eventually turns into a 20 page bitchfest that includes every 1994 grey bumper cavy owning kid who doesn't even know what a turbo kit is.
Whether or not the origininal post had any merit, the company's rep is shot as far as the J market. What if they offered/could have offered something useful in the future? We'll never know because they're burned at the stake here. I don't know, man, I just get annoyed with all the lost potential and possibilities. The mods should lock threads that become excessive in the "company bashing".
yea...boost would be nice...yea
Thanks for all the info guys,.
I may as well just fab up a kit my self. I have access to a mandrel bender so that should help a bit..
Ill make a thread on when i do a right up on my own kit and how much it all cost etc..
Good luck with it. Don't let this place discourage you...just be smart about your purchases and ask questions of the seller. As noted above...for an engineered kit, JTuners and Hahn are the only companies that haven't been beaten and dragged out into the street and shot then burned and pissed on the ashes. I like JTuners personally; nothing like third party dyno time/support to make ya feel all warm and fuzzy.

just take a look at the guys feedback on the negitive side I wouln't buy cheap gas from him
**changes are here**
^^also if you take the time to read all the the neg feedback he has, Its all about the turbo kits he sold on ebay.
Almost all saying "not a direct bolt on "
I have never done any business with him, but wouldn't due to reading some of his feedback.
as much as I hate beating a dead horse. look at his postives. half are from ssautochrome.

That's what I thought. Off to make a shopping list
Companies that got torn apart on here deserve it, its not based off one person's bad experience. Maximum boost for example. It was started by some high school kid, the company was a joke and noone would buy anything. bSo then he changed the name to Maximum Boost, sold a @!#$ load of legos on e-bay to get his feedback score way up, slaped together a "dirrect bolt on kit" of all universal parts off e-bay, the direct bolt on kit didn't fit, no downpie, just a bunch of random angle bent piping for charge pipes, people complained of missing parts, ect... then he sold someone a intercooler for I believe it was the RSM 2.2 supercharge kit, he kit noone had made a working intercooler setup for, he garaunteed him it would fit and after it didn't come close to fititng he tried to charge him $200 (25
restocking fee cause it had been more then 2 weeks since date of purchase. and to top it off the owner of Maximum boost and the designer of the bolt on turbo kits actually IMed me a while back (I saved the coversation) asking a bunch of nitrous questions ect.. he actually asked how to chage the spark plugs and could it be done with a vice grips and a screwdriver!!!!!!! Coming form the designer of the wonderfull turbo kits. To me that speaks volumes about the product, how can someon design a dirrect fit turbo kit for somethign when they can't figure out where spark plugs are of how to change them. Originally I kept that conversation quite but after he tried to keep $200 from the one kid from the intercooler thats dirrect fit for his supercharger aplication @!#$ that.

I disagree completely...if ONE PERSON here has a bad experience, a freakin boatload of people all of a sudden have the product of just "know" its not good. It's B/S in most cases. I'm not denying that Maxium Boost is joke. It just angers me that people come on here and bash a company into the dirt when they dont even own the product. I would never think of making a comment on something that I didnt try out. But peoople are like, " my brothers friends cousins ex girlfriends friend had that kit and it sucked!" Crap like that amounts to a 20 page bitchfest and WHAM there goes the company WHETHER OR NOT it had any merit whatsoever.

Welcome to america where anyone can start a business. If you're into the JBody aftermarket, you
HAVE to do research!! People always say it's the burden of the company to prove their product is worthy...and I agree...no proof/lousy product and the company will go under on its own momentum. It's just not necessary for members to jump into a product review and slam a company when they NEVER delt with the company, NEVER tried its product, and probably NEVER heard of it until the post. I guess what would rememdy this highly annoying factor of jbody.org is a product review forum...separate from the techinical forums (boost, performance, ect). It should be very structured and only those who actually own the product should comment. Others can ask questions. Something has got to change here...

i agree with above stated and the example i have is RSM....well i have been on this site (jbo) for years now and seen everyone and their brother rip apart rsm for stuff but me personally never had a problem with them at all. i bought a Throttle body and something else i believe from them and got them with the week and all products were right on the money with no probs. Now maybe i was a lucky one or what have you but i have had no prob with rsm myself and their products. now will i buy anything else from them no but thats just bc they don't have anything i want. i don't usually post to often on here but read alot in the different forums as to what ppl did to fix this and that...and its helped alot with some stuff i was working on but i do see alot of ppl bash stuff and companies who don't even own a product from them and i do not see where that is fair in my opionion ( misspelled i think lol) i mean if you have the product or never got it then i can see your reason or what have you but other than that i don't see a reason to bash a company you never bought from before ever.......Last but not least with the Maxium boost thing, i know the guy who runs...known him for years and i see where this controversary comes from but i myself don't have a prob with him and his company. Now will i buy a turbo kit from him no but thats only bc i am going s/c and have the setup and stuff in my head from doing what everyone has talked about above RESEARCH, i read posts and see what works and what doesn't, what ppl tried and what others haven't and upon doing my own extra research i came up with what i wanted to do. Does this mean i won't buy anything from maxiumboost.....no bc he offers more that turbo kits and he is local to me. but i do agree with oldskool that we should have a forum for company reviews of products wether good or bad and let ppl ask questions as they may.....
but thats just my two cents.....
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
Yeah I agree, like if a company literally sells someone a bag of dog @!#$ and claims its a fuel pump noone should be aloud to have an opinion about the comapny excep the one that got ripped off..... knowing other people got ripped off isn't enough you better buy from them wait for your bag of dog @!#$ and then you can say you don't liek a company and have heard bad things.
