No low end power, ideas???

Ok well I haven't had too much of an opportunity to look into this problem but i thought i'd post and see if anyone else has ever had a similar issue in an effort to shorten my troubleshooting. Anyways here's the deal... The Cav was out last week and a few guys and I were playing around, ended up getting in a few races here but when I rolled up on an RX8 and dropped the Cavy down to third and hit it all I got was major sputtering and missing, so I let off. I was able to scan and log with HPTuners and i recieved a code for engine misfire which it did so i would expect that but also my cam positioning sensor code came up, Could this be the issue? I cleared the code and took the car back out but when I get on the car from a start now it seems to really bog low end, it almost feels exactly like a turbo where i have little power until about 4000rpms and then the car gains power again. I've never had this issue before and like I said haven't done a whole lot of troubleshooting yet, so any ideas? The car is going up, the s/c is coming off and being sold and the custo, turbo project and engine build will start soon but I wanted to maybe drive the car another week or so before that happened. Let me know if anyone has any ideas, thanks ahead of time everyone.

my ecotec did the same thing, N/A i would be cruising and it would be fine but as soon as i nailed it it would fall on its face hard and miss like a SOB.

i ended up having to replace the IDI cover it was something to do with the ICM and or coils or the wiring between it all couldnt figure out what exactly. which is why i just replaced it all and everything has been great since.

hope that helps some
