If you have a turbo with an internal wastegate, can it be taken off and used as a regular turbo, then put on your own external wastegate? One of my friends just bought a kit with an internal gate, he got a good price on it but wants an external gate and does not really want to buy a new turbo, he asked me this question but I was stumped because I have never really thought about it before? thank you
