Well many of you know my car and what I was able to achieve the past couple of years with the GM S/C unit. However after alot of thinking and research I decided to sell the GM S/C unit last fall and begin building what I hope to be one of the nastiest turbo 2.4's out there. I will not go into crazy amounts of detail pertaining to my mods list or what is done to the engine prior to this build, the list is seriously just wayyyy too long. However the following is what I have been working on this winter, with the exception of a few secrets here and there
Fully built 2.4LD9 engine
-Custom ground "boost" cams
-Fully built race head (Stainless valves, 10k rpm valve springs, titanium retainers, internally ported and polished etc.)
-Custom 65mm TB
-9.0.1 Compression Wiseco Pistons (.020) overbore
-Eagle H Beam Connecting Rods
-ARP Head and Main Studs
-Cometic MLS .074 thick Head Gasket
-Federal Mogul performance rod and main bearings
-HO Intake Manifold (Internally ported)
-Garrett T3/T04E 50trim .63 A/R (ported) - T3 divided exhaust housing
-All oil feed and return lines, fittings, etc.
-Custom log turbo manifold with ext. wastegate flange
-Tial 38mm wastegate
-Greddy RS BOV
-Vibrant Performance FMIC 26" x 7.5" x 3.5"
-2.5" Custom Charge piping
-complete a/c system removal
-3" Custom downpipe with v-band
-Greddy/Denso 720cc Injectors
-Casper Billet AFPR
-GM 2 Bar Map Sensor
-AEM tru boost/boost controller
-HPTuners Version 2.1.14
-Vortech FMU 1:1
-Innovate LM-1 Wideband
Machining:
-.020 Block overboring and line honing
-fully balanced block
-2.3 HO Oil Pump Conversion
-Oil galley porting

Goals for the car are very large - 20+psi 400whp on 93 pump and 450whp on 117 octane leaded race fuel.
I have a ton of pics of the entire project located here in my club gallery, please feel free to check it out

Thanks for the compliments guys, I honestly rarely ever post on here but have been a member for years now... I apologize for that, but as anyone who as ever talked to me via AIM or pm'ed me knows i'm always willing to help out fellow members and also listen to their advice.
Chris - The only reason I chose to remove my a/c system was because I rarely ever use it and wanted a more "clean" appearing engine bay, nothing really horsepower related to this it was just a personal preference
Get at me on AIM sometime man, i'd love to hear how your engines coming along as well.
"Horsepower is the Ultimate Accessory"
looking good.
i will keep a eye on this. Good luck.
Sounds nice. I take it the car is running now? If so how is it.
FU Tuning
not running or finished yet.... it's a winter project and should be done mid to late April

jim's previous motor was a m45 charger running low 13's all charger, of course only a few know the secrets to how he did this, im one of'm
,but sadly he told me after my rebuild so ill just have to stick with high 13 second m45 motor.....for now.
There were numerous small things that I did on my car that were "secretive" but the basics were pretty simple. The GM S/C loves higher compression as long as you can keep it cool enough and tune for it, which was one of my "secrets" I ran my car with the ported out blower, a decent sized alky injection nozzle with a high content methanol mix (70/30) and had the 2.5" pulley on the car. On pump gas I was able to run the car pretty hard and manage mid 13's. With a seperate tune on race fuel my best time ever was a 13.26@107mph on engine and blower alone. At the end of last season I wanted to see what kind of numbers the car would pull using my nitrous 50 shot which I had never used before in conjunction with the blower... my best and only run was a 12.87@113mph.

nice
I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'
looks like a good build
but quick question, you want to run 20+psi on this set-up with a GM 2 bar map sensor??
isn't that only good to roughly 15psi?
This thread is worthless without pics!! JMHO
Rusty there are tons of pics located in my gallery, I didn't feel like posting tons of them in this thread. Here is the link -

As far as the GM Map goes this will only be used as a tuning aid in HPTuners.
