Swapping Stock 03 ECO ECU for 03 ECO GM S/C program Flashed ECU

Soon in the future i will be purchasing the GMPP S/C for my 03 ECO.

I live in the middle of nowhere in MT. The nearest GM dealership is approx. 40 ish miles from the shop I install my car stuff in, so in and effort to make it as easy a swap aspossible, Im picking up a ECU that is already flashed with the GM ECO S/C program.

The ECU is essentuially the same ECU from the same car as mine with exception to the S/C program being flashed on it already.

My car: 03 Ecotec 5 speed stock flash
The donor: 03 Ecotec 5 speed GM S/C Program Flash

I understand how to and have in the past done the Passlock ECU Relearn procedure. So im not worried about doing thatt correctly.
What i was wondering is, will there be anything I should have to do to swap this ECU into my car instead of ragging the car 40 miles to the nearest dealership for the reflash??

I understand the kit will have to be bolted on the car and ready to run. HEres my thinking of proper procedure on this.

1. Install kit as per GM instructions, including new injectors, map sensor, etc;
2. Install new preflashed ecu.
3. Do the Passlock ECU relearn.
4. Fire car and enjoy boost.

Is it that simple?? I sure hope so if not it looks like im ordering a tow truck.....

Any comments, help would be keen. Or if im on the right path tell me to stop worrying.

Yeah, its that simple. You may or may not even have to do the passlock relearn.

don't plug in the new map sensor until after you have installed the reflashed pcm. everything else seems like it will work just fine. good luck with it and enjoy the boost

Mileage is stored in the BCM, not the ECU.

that simple james mines an 04 though . same difference though. just make sure every connection is soldered good, dont crimp. ipicked up the base and moved the soldering iron stand when i was done and the iron fell out and landed on my thumb.. @!#$ really doesnt feel to plesent..

idk if u have an fmu or afpr, but its not needed with the new injectors and reflash.
