Hey, I have a 99 Cavalier 2200 OVH, and I'm installing a T3/T4 hybrid turbo from turbonetics. It is a ball bearing turbo needing to be cooled by oil.
Everyone I've talked to has said to "t" off of my oil pressure sensor for the oil feed. or there is a freeze plug in the back of the engine that will work too... I've located the oil pressure sensor on a 2.2 it's by the oil filter, but I can't squeeze my skinny hand up there to get it out... does anyone have a picture of what they did for turbo'd 2.2?
Ohh man I had to Delete my pics cause my comp froze a while ago but I had pics on all of this... You best bet is to pull your supply from where I did..... Get under your car and look up by your sending unit. you will see a plug in the block that has a Square recess in it... Use a 1/4 socket set, and just put and Extension on it. NO socket.. this will fit Perfectly in to the plug allowing you to remove it. then you will need and Oil fitting that goes from 1/4 inch NPT to 3 or 4 AN oil line that you are using. There are two plugs there I forgot which one I used but they are both supplys.
Thanks man for actually replying...
I ended up getting it off. I took a deep well 1 1/16 socket to take the one showed in my haynes manual off.. I wish I would have known they were both sends, I would have took the easier to get one.... I used a T on that, to get my oil pressure gauge, and then used the spare line coming out of the T for the oil feed... Now I just have to worry about my drain... But first, need sleep, lol.
