just finished up installing my supercharger, and as soon as I fired it up, I heard this little squeak noise coming from the header area. I installed my header the other day, and didnt hear any of these noises. The squeak also gets faster with a little bit of a rev. I am taking it to my gm dealer tomorrow morning to get the reflash, and am wondering what this could be. Any help would be great. Thanks jbo.
check your header bolts. If hey are loose and you have an exhaust leak, the exhaust will flow through the metal gasket and squeak like putting a blade of grass in your hands and blowing through it when you were a kid.
Like an idiot, I didnt use the copper seal stuff they recommended, but I did torque the bolts down to 35. Should I take this off and apply the copper seal, then retorque?
Well I retorqued the header bolts up top, and the squeak seems to be down by the downpipe. Any ideas, or just retighten the downpipe?
