I was curious if anyone could tell me the affects of having a boost leak.

What will i notice with boost and how to find a boost leak if had one?





2004 Turbo cavalier 11PSI and blown!

boost pressure would drop, if its a turbo set-up, peak PSI will come on later...

make a leak detector.. go to home depot, find a rubber coupler the size of your charge piping, then go to the plumbing section and get a plastic end cap for tubing that fits inside your coupler you just picked up.. find a valve stem for a tire drill a small hole big enough to fit the vavle stem into the plastic cap, pull valve stem through the cap.. put coupler on cap with clamps, disconnect charge pipes. and install leak detector, and air pressure through vavle stem.. watch boost gauge until your desired PSI.. listen for leaks, if you can't hear any get some water
