damn if i can get this kit for cheaper then 2300 thats a steal. yea im lookin to put out atleast 200 hp with this and then some with future mods. now for superchargers u can adjust the amt of boost ur pushing right? im not as familar with s/c compared to turbos.
yeah you put on a smaller pulley than the one the s/c comes with, ups the boost

oh wow i woulda never thought that. because it will be winding faster with a smaller pulley right? but once u increase it theres only so much u can increase on it right cause of pulley sizes?
yup 2.5's the smallest, but port & polishing things for better flow will up it, nitrous/meth injection, etc.

just wondering, I want to to the SC too, just don't want to spend the money right now, do you see alot fo power lower down in the rpm range as well (I would think it woudl have more power lower than a turbo right?)
I am curious, why is the 2.4 supercharger kit $1000 less than the Ecotec 2.2 kit?
Mike Tampa wrote:I am curious, why is the 2.4 supercharger kit $1000 less than the Ecotec 2.2 kit?
For whatever reason, the 2.4L kit did not sell anywhere near as well as was anticipated. For this reason production ceased and the remaining kits were marked down significantly to clear out the inventory and recover at least some of the money lost. In addition, you have to take into consideration that the 2.4L was no longer being used in most GM cars past 2002. Since the kit was designed to work with 00-02 2.4Ls, this left a narrow margin to sell to. The Ecotec charger is, however, in much greater demand and does not seem to be plagued with the economic issues that hindered 2.4L charger sales.
1600 thats pretty damn good
i paid 2000 cdn shipped to canada for mine from a dealer in florida
1600 i would buy 2
wow reading all these post makes me wish I had gone with the GM supercharger instead of fabricating a custom turbo set for my LD9, 1600 shipped is not a bad deal.
GMR has got nothing on this
