Ok, So I searched, and I may have missed it, but does anyone know where to buy a downpipe online or is having one fabbed my only choice? Oh, it is for a '01 2.4
Thanks

You won't find a premade one. You'll need to get one fabbed.

Just so I can be prepared, what do you think the average price to have one fabricated will be? That is if I provide the flange.

~400-500. Real performance shops might either be more or less, you might get some that think fabbing that is no biggy, and another shop that thinks its a huge undertaking.

$400 BUCKS wtf all you need to do is bend the down pipe to where you want it and tie it in with your exsisting exhost and weld botta bing botta boom, should should be 50-100 MAX it's basic exshost work nothing special, ne shop that charges 400 for that is crazy!!!

i got quoted everywhere from 150-550 for a simple DP when i was first getting ready to install my turbo. i said to myself that wasnt worth it for like 2 bends and a straight pipe. so what i did instead is buy a 150$ welder and i bought my entire exhaust piping DP -> Tip for 150 mandrel bent 2.5" So i speant like 300 maybe a lil more to complete a full exhaust. that included a magnaflow high flow cat and a flex pipe as well. i also spent an additional like 40 on a vibrant resonator. personally, if you have the patience, id say do your own. that way you have the skills/equipment to change it in the future... (if your looking to save quite a bit of money down the line)

$50 doesn't even cover the cost of materials and labor for a one off downpipe. I mean yeah you can go to some mexican auto shop and they'll do it at a loss because they're dumbasses. Just know your welds will look like @!#$ and the metal used might be fence post.

I made mine from a couple J bends from Summit and a flange from some company that i cant remember right now. Took about 1.5 hours (no room to work with on my car) and a lot of paitience. Ever since I got a welder I will never allow a shop to do any work to my exhaust.

since we are talking welding (at least the people that realize quality pays off) What metal do you recomend, is it too hot there for stainless, therefore use iron? I personally do not know , ideas?
