Alright, so my injectors are "inadequate". It had to happen sooner or later. With that said: What are the largest injectors you've run using only an FMU? (in other words, without HPTuners, reflashes, standalones, etc...)
According to the RC "Fuel Injector Worksheet" (click here: see bottom of page) in order to run at around 300 HP on a turbocharged vehicle using 4 injectors while maintaining a maximum duty cycle of 80%, you will need to install 750cc (70lb) injectors. Now, if you're targeting anything decently higher than 300 HP, you pretty much have to drop in a set of 1000cc (95lb) injectors.
*So that we can get this out of the way, yes, an HPTuners tune is the ideal route (or MegaSquirt, etc.), yes, running large injectors off the FMU is bordering on foolish, and yes, I should just install my damn MegaSquirt. But, for the time being, it's going to be large injectors and an FMU, and that's just the way it has to be right now.
Now, for those that have run large injectors solely with an FMU:
-What size injectors were you running?
-What fuel pressure were you running at the rail?
-Did you have any start up issues?
-Did you have any idling issues?
-Did you have any miscellaneous issues?
-Were you running low or high impedance?
