GMPP Eco Supercharger w/o heat exchanger
Monday, October 01, 2007 6:56 AM
I'm about to buy a supercharger for my 04 eco from crate engine depot. I know that it dosen't come with the intercooler/heat exchanger. I plan on getting one in the following months. I plan on running stock boost till i get the heat exchanger. Question is is it all alright to run the charger for a while/year maybe, tilL i get the heat exchanger setup?

yes

searching would have told ya that , as well as give you ideas what needs to be done to make the intercooler function

GM wouldnt sell the kit if they didnt feel it was ok

I installed mine in march of 07 with no cooling. Nebraska got hot this year, 90-110...... car would start to overheat, but would cool off quick with the fans kicking on. Im just getting ready to install mine this weekend. So 8 months or so of a beating.......still runs great minus the heat soak.

Its fine to run it without, but you really wont be seeing the full effect of the supercharger, i lasted one month without the cobra heat exchanger, but after that month I had to have it. Its so much nicer when you have it.

looking for the part# I will need to hook up a heat exchanger to a GM ECO S/C. I've seen it before, now I need to find it.
