BAR = Unit of pressure 1 bar = 1 atmosphere, 2 bars about 15 PSI of boost
this is not right.
bar and atmosphere are not equal.....very close but not equal.
2 bars is not 15 (14.7)psi........1 bar=14.5psi and 1 atm=14.7psi
DONT get me wrong....I am not in anyway knocking the FAQ or the person who wrote it. just caught an error and figured I would point out the correct info.
I understood where you were going with the 2 BAR= 15psi of boost since all boost gauges are reading relative pressure, but you gave a definition of different units of measure for pressure that are wrong. Just because the automotive industry uses the term BAR loosely because its very close to atm. pressure doenst mean its right. If you had a true 2BAR MAP sensor it would only read 29psi (14.5*2)or 14psi of relative boost. So in actuality the MAP sensor measures in atmospheres which makes sense.
Im not tryin to be a Richard Head here. Just lookin to inform the ignorant. Pretty much everyone uses the terms interchangeably but I just wanted to maybe let people who were not aware that they are technically different.

...but I don't see the need to point it out, as the boost faq is mainly a general resource for noobs to wrap their heads around boost. Good catch, but technically not necessary.
