Ok so i got to thinking the other day and the question i came u with is.....
When you boost you want low compression like 8.5 then you run X amount of boost so why cant you have a high compression engine like 10.5 and run low amount of boost like 4 lbs.... would this be the same? I understand you want strong rods and all that mess but i was just wondering if this would be the same?

High compression has more chance of detonating than low compression. This is due to the fact that a gas (like air) heats up as it is compressed. The more it is compressed, the more it heats up. The higher the compression, the more heat, the more heat the more chance of detonation. Lowering the compression lessens the chance of detonation.

It wouldn't be the same, because while you may end up with the same dynamic compression ratio between the two motors, the motor with more oxygen in it (the one with 8.5 SCR) is going to create more power. If the DCR wasn't the same (i.e. the 8.5:1 SCR motor has a lower DCR than the 10.5:1) then you get closer to creating the same amount of horsepower with a higher SCR and lower boost.
And like Ron said, you can only compress so much air before the motor starts to knock (on a given octane gas).

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
you can run high or low compression on a boosted motor. people generally run low because its safer although as long as you have the proper tuning capabilities, you can still run high comp on a boosted car and be fine.
Not on pump piss you can't!!!
