I have been doing reading about the saab setup for the past few months but cant seem to find that answer to my question. what engine do i want the turbo off of? B207R (high pressure), B207L (low pressure), B205R (high pressure), or the B205L (low pressure). If someone could tell me what one to get, or if it is a matter of opinion. I have searched but couldnt seem to find anything on this topic
Thanks i always thought it was that one, but i wanted to confirm before i got one
B205 is the Saab specific "ecopower" engine, not ecotec.
like said above B207R or L will work.
whats the exhaust manfiold that is to be used?
From the same car you get the turbo from, der. Also, look for one without air injection.

I know that, lol I meant if buying them separately, Thanks

not that big of a deal, can be corrected with the use of gaskets
Will the manifold that says it'll fit "900, dual cam, w/turbo 1994, 900, 4 cylinder, w/turbo 1995 - 1998, 9-3, w/turbo 1999 - 2003, 9-5, 2.3l 1999 - 2007, 9-5 Aero 2002+" work as well with the eco?

I've got it here with me, and the turbo I have, A t25 looks like it'll bolt right to the flange.. so if this mani will fit the block.. I'll be happy.

No, that will not bolt up. You need one from a 03+ 9-3 with the 2.0L in it, they look like this...

do you have better pics of the block side of the manifold? Just trying to see what the problem areas are going to be... if I have too, I can cut and weld a new manifold flange

Don't mean to hijack.
but....
I just bought the saab kit from another member on here. The one with the Garrett gt2052s. The turbo needs a rebuild.
Just wondering if the mitsu td-04 is a bolt on swap to this manifold. I'm pretty sure i'd need to change the downpipe but i'm hoping i don't need to.
Also what inlet flange is that called???
T20? i tried looking, but all i end up with is a t3, t25, etc.

yea the two turbos will interchange....and im pretty sure the downpipes are interchageable
swapped, supercharged, intercooled, 2.9, fun
kab00m wrote:Can I have one Joey?
Well I only have the one. The Garrett GT2052s.
I work for a GM dealer here in Toronto, and we also own the Saturn Saab Store right beside us.
If the 2 turbo's interchanged, I would be willing to source out a Mitsu TD04L.
Maybe even get one under warranty.
The Garrett I've got needs a rebuild. I bought the kit from member Mark Eco.
Doesn't seem as if there is any shaft play, but the bearings are noisy.
If I find a mitsu the garrett will be up for sale, might even be fixed at that time.
kab00m, you got first dibs.

How much can you get those saab turbo manifold for??
I guess I got boned on the one I bought then.. if it won't fit.. that sucks.
Guy said it would fit the 9-3 2.0 turbo.. damnit there goes 60 bucks I didn't have to begin with!!

Actually Joey, I have a B207R turbocharger already. I'm looking for the manifold. What do those run for on average?

I just realized you're talking to the other Joey.
I'm gonna see if the boys at the Saab dealer next door have a few of these kickin around.

I wouldn't say weeded out. I checked with my Saab guys next door and they've got nothin for me. But will keep their eyes out.
Almost was ready to sell my turbo and manifold. But i'm going to attempt the rebuild myself. I'm gonna be collecting all the parts that i can, manifolds, turbos, gaskets, etc. Won't leave ya in the dark.

Thanks... from the ups and downs this site has gone though.. And seeing as I've been less than very active.. wasn't sure if that was where the site was at.. but thanks man.
I've been trying to piece stuff together too.. but it seems that it's might still be overall cheaper just to bare down and get a hahn kit... even though they don't support the auto trans... and I have a sneeking suspicion that my parents are getting me HPTuners for my college graduation present.. which would be cool as hell!
