What happens to the first o2 sensor. Is it still in the manifold? And are you guys mostly using widebands?
Downpipe, also the wideband sensor goes there as well.. Usually an inch above the stock sensor.

do u have 2 sensors when u have a wideband?
Yup you sure do, in most applications with a 4 wire 02 sensor , even wideband controllers that state they send out a 1v signal for narrowband simulation, it always throws a slow response code when the PCM is controlled from a narrowband simulation off a wideband controller

Hey thanks that answers my question too. I didn't know I'd be using 2 o2 sensors but I have OBD-I I only have one stock O2 so if I get a wideband O2 i still use the stock one right? Thanks
no you are still going to need to have another sensor put in your exhaust. Your can needs the stock one that is in there and the wideband will need its own. just about any muffler shop will weld you in a new bung to put it in. and they should know where it should be put.

sometimes if you have the older 1 wire 02 sensors you might be able to get away with using the simulated narrowband signal from a wideband, thats the only time ive seen it work, most 4 wire o2s dont work this way

those other wires are just the heater circut, the its still generating a 1V signal the same way. But I have heard of the problem your talking about. so far all I could dig up was problems with the narrow band output on plx's. and I can pretty much verify that.
