I just installed a Turbo XS Manual Boost controller, today. I have it adjusted to 10psi, but my boost slowly drops down to 7psi.
Is this normal for a MBC to peak and level off ? I never had one before....
I got to say....10 psi compared to 7-8psi woke it up a little more.
The way it is working doesn't bother me to much as long as it doesn't go over 10 psi.
older turbo xs usually do that..they leak and what not..mine did that..no worries

Yea, i had mine set to 11psi and it would go down to around 8-9psi! No worries!
But now i have a greddy profec b and should be able to have fun staying at what ever psi i decide to run!!
2004 Turbo cavalier 11PSI and blown!
I was looking at getting a profec b but didn't want to spend the money on it. I guess if I want a solid 10 psi, electronic may be the answer. Its good to know that other people have experienced the same issue.
The difference between a MBC and a Profec is night and day. Once you have the profec set up right you get addicted to how well it works... if you turn it off and go for a spin, it's clear as day exactly how much it helps your boost response, spoolup, etc... it's a nice little unit, but expensive...

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I have this problem with the boost dropping off as the rpm's climb.
Will an Electronic Boost Controller cure this?
(right now I'm running a cheap manual unit)
