m45 issue?
Thursday, May 01, 2008 5:14 PM
So I just got my s/c installed about a week ago...all seemed to be going well...I had to drive it to where I live and it took about 6 hours (500 kms) and had no problems the whole way...I parked the car when I got back home let it sit for the evening and then went for a spin and it sounded like I had an exhaust leak towards the front of the car...so I got a new cat put on and a front O2 sensor to see if that would help but it didn't...sounds like a header leak or something/rattle... the sound is there only under load and excelleration..reving in neutral only seems to be slightly different than before...I was thinking it was the flex pipe but I had a new one put on not too long ago and the shop said everything in the exhaust system was tight and had no leaks...I am wondering if anyone has any similar problems or have heard about similar things...I am wondering if maybe some of the bolts on the intake manifold of the s/c may have loosened off on the way home or something...I'm still seeing the same amount of boost, right around 5.5psi (but I haven't came on to it really hard to see lately because the car sounds like crap and I don't want to damage anything)...if anyone can help me out that would be awsome.

seems like instead of throwing random parts at your car, you need to take it back to where you got it installed.
