N/A to Boost

So im running into some issues with trying to boost my V6. How will I get the PCM to read boost when It does not have a 2 bar MAP sensor. I just dont know how the computer is going to know how to add the correct amount of fuel. Can this be done with a FMU??? If so how can this be tuned properly? How have you N/A to boost guys done it with your stock computer?

3400 SWAP DONE. 187WHP 212TQ (14.2 @100MPH NA) 240WHP 310TQ (N2O)

Your PCM doesn't "Read Pressure" or "Read Boost". What it does is read voltage drops created by the MAP sensor and it interprets what they mean. All GM MAP sensors are 0-5V. A 0V drop has different meanings with different sensors but is always the lowest possible reading (1 BAR = 10 kPa, 2 BAR = 8.8 kPa, 3 BAR = 3.6 kPa), and 5V refers to whatever the MAP sensor is rated at (albeit, 1 BAR = 105 kPa, 2 BAR = 208 kPa, 3 BAR = 315 kPa, etc.). If your PCM won't allow you to rescale the MAP values, then all you have to keep in mind is what each map value represents for each voltage, and convert.

This conversation looks familiar... hmm... OH YEAH!!

HpTuners is the way to go if you like to be cost effective. I dont know if they offer a 2 bar upgrade for the 3400 or not. Might want to look into that... Other than that you can tune based on the stock values and stock table scaling by either sticking with just the 1 bar tune, or running a fake 2 bar. Tunning a turbo with a 1 bar isnt the safest way, but it does work and if done right will do jsut fine.
