We finally made it to the track this past week and had a hell of a time! Considering the car was completely apart (except for the block) since last year, it was a very good night. We didn't better our best time but I'll let the video do the talking

(And those of you who saw last years vids...notice the improvement in the burnout

)
11.5x @ 126
All in all we were very pleased. We ran the same tune in that pass as we did last year with the ported head, and it hasn't even seen the dyno yet this year! For those of you that can hear what my dad says at the end...If you followed last years progress, we were having some trouble getting into third gear and as you can see i actually hit third so my dad was expecting just a little faster than 11.5, no big deal

(and to be honest, when i got the time slip i was a little disappointed too). Alas, the car will be seeing a dyno before this next time out as well as a few shifting upgrades so hopefully some better times are just around the corner!

Hey Adam very nice video definitely a little improvement from last year. love the car i cant wait till my car is at that point. I like how you were racing a mustang too you dusted that guy soo bad he is probably still talking about it.
Nice job!! Seems the car really leans towards the rear on the launch. Can't wait to see some dyno pulls and better times.
FU Tuning
i would be satisfied with a 13.5, and your not with an 11.5?!!?
lol, i understand tho... the more you got the more you want.
amazing.
YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!
10s are a MUST this year, good luck...

No 10s = failure.
There, I said it.
Not saying I will ever come close, but I'm not trying with this platform either. But I feel safe in assuming that if you guys don't hit 10s in a J that is a personal failure more than likely...
Also not saying I expected them on the first run - that's retarded. But all in all if you guys don't hit 10s that has to be a personal failure ay?
Nice,, but 2.0 engine? Did I miss something? lol

Don't you worry, 10's will happen. As you were saying, expecting them on the first time out on a fresh setup would have been a blessing. We haven't even touched 27 PSI in this beast and we are planning to push 30+.

Yes we are running a 'destroked' 2.2 motor which is now equivalent to a 2.0.
After the first night out we have plenty of plans aside from dynoing including some suspension modifications as well as some trans/shifting upgrades. 10's are close!

Well, it seemed like a fairly good pass and he thought he saw and 11.90 and thats why he said, "Oh #$*!". But the shift into second killed ET, it takes a good half second to get back into power in second gear.
