Hey, im trying to remove an oil pan on a 2.2L EcoTec Sunfire. It seems to be stuck, I have removed all bolts, and even taken off the starter.... Pounded on it with a rubber mallet and even kicked it. It wont budge. How do you get it off?!?!?!
Running the oil return lines would be much easyer with it off....
Thanks

im working on the stage 2 hahn now and im stuck. need help asap
thanks
Pull like hell, Try getting something in between the crankcase and the pan to pry. Try not to mar the alluminum though (be very careful)
They are all RTV'd on at the factory. Basically "the right stuff" is what they use. Its a bitch and a half.
Buildin' n' Boostin for 08' - Alex Richards
ok been doing that lol
thanks though
A heet gun works too. It softens the rtv that they use. I had to do it on my scion tc when i turbo charged it.
double check all the bolts... not sure on the l61 but i know on my lsj theres a a/c compressor bolt or 2 that hold it in from the side too.
I had to fight that mother to the death to get it off. The sealant will EVENTUALLY give, but I was working at it for at least an 30-40 minutes before that point. I was prying with two screw drivers - twist them dont try and pull them. I tried pulling and I came very close to getting half of a screwdriver in my face... no goggles either :S

Blue circle is an oil feed location, Red is a dimple to drill the girdle for the return.

the blue an fitting shows the oil feed drivers side in accordance with HAHN instructions...
You will not have the blue fitting, but shows you the location to thread into.
Just pull the plug and thread your adapters in.
