Has anyone done this. I am looking into options for my throttle body, I was just wondering what the biggest is that anyone has used yet. I know the LS1 TB is 3 bolt, so an new adaptor would have to be made, or the current one modified. Is the LS1 TB 75 MM?
I don't think anyone has ever ran an M62 cav with the LS1 TB but I'm in the process:
I redid that adapter plate with thicker plates (3/16") and everything has been cleaned up I just don't have updated pics. What you can't see is the IAC is even functional on this one... The broken TB is only a mock up, I have a good housing for it also. I just finished the new one with the intake piping going into the fenderwell area near the washer reservoir.
Hoping this makes a big difference along with some of the other changes for this season. TB is huge compared to stock!

gonna keep an eye on this.. cant wait 2 c how it turns out.
airtronics, please keep us updated...please please please...i am buying alans old kit, so i am interested in the bigger TB
I'm willing to sell the one in the picture
It looks a lot better cleaned up now however the flanges are only 20gauge steel and they warped a bit. I didn't like that when I tightened the bolts on the tb it would bend the flange a bit however I'm sure it could be made to seal with some rtv etc. I just wanted to redo it...
For the way I have it setup you'd have to run a motorcycle battery like mine to make room. I coudln't find another way to mount it next to the S/C with the limited room between the power steering pump and the rad support. I'll post more pictures of the cleaned up adapter later and of the new with w/ the intake this weekend.

I've seen this set up in person, a lot of time and work put into it. I can't wait to see what your car puts down on the dyno Jon, i amwilling to bet many will be shocked by your #'s with a M62.

my battery is in the trunk so it isn't in the way
I am also running an LS1 75mm tb but it's on a LD9 with a modded HO intake for my turbo buildup. I'm going to get a tb spacer and have it tig welded to the HO intake, then get the whole shootin match extrude honed.
Pretty nice for a prototype, what is it made of? First pics it looks like thin aluminized steel fluxcored together lol, looks much better cleaned up.
I am very interested in this product awaiting more details.

Thanks Jeremy, I'm really hoping this and the few other changes I have planned wake the car up a bit more

It was meant to be the only one. I made it out of 3" exhaust tubing and 20 gauge plates. I'm redoing it because I wanted the thicker plates for the s/c and tb mounting points. The new adapter has 3/16" steel plates and the same 3" exhaust tubing in the center. You'll see that it looks shorter because the plates are thicker and I didn't need as much exhaust tubing.

It's not a product, I have no intentions of producing these for others. It took me a while to fabricate both adapters because I don't have all of the equipment like a machine shop. Just posting that it's possible since someone brought the topic up and I'll post more pictures of the finished product

yeah i talk to him almost everyday...and i need a ls1 to m62 adaptor
I started to cook something up, but the lack of funds to rectify my lack of an actual LS1 TB put a hold on that. But i do have a concept.
