The GM Suppercharger kit for the L61 is it still available? On the Pace website it says its disconinued...
2002 Cavalier "LS Sport"
it is discontinued by gm, they are not producing any new kits but there is still dealer stock out there for this kit, ask your local chevy dealer to get the part number andd run a locator on it and they can show you who stocks it, at least dealers anyway
Damn, could've sworn it was available at GMPD a couple weeks ago when the
same thread was made.

my carDomain updated 8/2/08 Forged B-day!
Kit is discontinued by GM. They are probably calling them all back to the warehouse.
When looking it up in inventory, the Lansing warehouse shows 33 kits in stock and clearly indicates "discontinued".

I was confused - at first I thought this was for the LD9 supercharger. Apparently my reading comprehension missed the L61 in the original post. But anyways, go to GMPartsDirect and read what it says at the bottom of the page with the asterisk. (* This part has been replaced by a new part number. The new part number will be used if you add this part to your cart.) So, I think you can still get a kit, but they've changed the part number. Maybe they've changed the kit somehow (different supercharger maybe?)
Anyways, doesn't matter for me because I've got a LD9, so either way, if I want to get one eventually (and I might) it's still available. As long as GM still exists.
I have new Gm LD9 SC kit for sale.

why is it that the gm supercharger for the ld9 is only for 00-02 and not 96-99?
^ because they wanted too......check the top of the forum there is a sticky for pre 2k cars that want to run the M45

OBD-1 VS. OBD-2
that's the way I've always seen it. they released the kit when the J platform was sold with obd-2 technology, so why go back to an older technology.
for programming purposes obd-2 is better too (at the dealership).

Hmm...when I look it up through our GM catalog is doesnt say that its discontinued, but our warehouse has zero.
I have a complete GMPP Ecotec Supercharger kit for sale.
$2000, comes with everything and is the Official kit, not just a bunch of Cobalt SS/SC parts. This kit comes with the GMPP TB adapter, Fuel Rail w/ injectors, PCM with GMPP S/C tune already on it.
PM me if interested, local pickup or I can ship UPS.
kit is no longer marked as discontinued on gmpartsdirect.com, on there for $2,466.46
