i think you can run up to a 3 inch pulley and heater exchanger and 36 pound injectors on the gm reflash. i would buy another ecu for your car and get gm to put the reflash on that one but when u put the ecu in your after u will have to make it relearn to you car for anti-theft @!#$. so u can use your stock ecu to tune it later down the line because the gm reflash locks the ecu.

What tune are you looking to run? The GM crapflash or HPT?

If you run the GM crapflash, i would not go any smaller than a 3.1" pulley. A few people have noticed there cars leaning out with the 3.0" pulley. Also the reflash is designed for the injectors in the kit and running larger ones will just cause headaches.

If you are getting HPT, i say add meth to the list and drop down to a 2.9" pulley.

I would love to do HPT but how hard is it try aquire a HPT kit? Also, does the heat exchanger take place of the intercooler or is it additional?

if you already have header, exhaust, mounts and an intake, go for the heat exchanger, smaller pulley and HPT

The heat exchanger IS an intercooler(technically a intercooler is a heat exchanger). The only difference is that it is not air-to-air like the turbo guy run, but is water-to-air.

For HPT, post in your regional forum and see if anyone with HPT will tune for you.

So does everyone agree that the GM kit already includes a heat exchanger?

It includes part of the kit. You have to buy the pump and H/E for the front of the car, but the intake mani already has the H/E cores in it.

It is also good if you want a sleeper look, because they blend in. There are bigger and flashier H/Es, but the cobra one works just fine.

Pics so you get an idea. The bottom "L" of the mounting brackets were trimmed after this pic.

H/E blending in behind the bumper.

i run the frozen boost h/e, same one ottp and zzp uses, just i got it from frozen boost aka silicone intakes...good h/e, only draw back it that it uses a air/air core, not a water/air core, but still works fine
