well i have a 1997 chevy cavalier 2.4 and i want to turbo charge my automatic car. i have a balanced crankshaft with apr studs for my stock rods, forged pistons, with low compression bore it in .030 secret cams, ported my intake and exhaust manifolds including port match the head, injectors with a 370cc, got msd conversion with out the box. i also have all the bolt ons like conld air intake, crank pulley and alternator pulley header and dual exhaust.
with all this in mind more likely how many pounds of boost can my car handle???? oh and maybe i'll shoot a 35 wet nitrous on top of that to play it save
not much, with stock rods

weakest link in the 2.4 seems to be the rods. your lookin at about 10psi MAX with a good tune on the stock rods. Upgrade to some Eagle h-beams
i tried but the people from eagle took a long time to send them so i cancel them and bought the studs only from apr got them in a day i was so desperate to build my engine. can i do a 13 lbs of boost at least????
Low compression bore? Ported exhaust manifold? Nitrous to play it safe?
Try again buddy.

well cause i have the nitrous i can shoot a 125 because with a stock motor only injectors and a good tune i was on 75 was running perfect but now since i did all of these i don't know what to use either nitrous of 125 wet or turbo, what would be better???
rods wont hold a 125 shot..
never be in a hurry to build a motor

pull your bottom end out and swap in the rods, might as well have waited and done it right the first time but thats just me
