i recently got my car turboed and tuned, (95 z24 2.3) and when i step on the gas if kinda bogs down, i can hear the turbo spooling and then right before it goes i can hear backfire and popping and it actually slows down it does not go at all. normal driving is almost like it was stock but whats the point of having boost if i cant use it. i am guessing that i am getting way to much fuel because i can always smell the gas. the guy used tunercat to tune it. i have the dyno sheet and the manifold pressure is 166kpa which is 9.5 pounds of boost, i make 3 pounds of boost at 2300 lol and 9 pounds at 3800rpm, is that normal. It is a 50 trim turbo and it seems to spool really fast. But on the the dyno sheet it also shows my afr, and i thought the afr table should pretty much be a straight line or its supposed to be as straight as possible when u set the target afr, my chart has waves it it and its pretty straight once it gets to 4000. once it starts building boost the afr goes to as high as 85. to 12.7. I made 222.8 whp and 214 tq. But like i said normal driving is fine so does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do, or the tuner can do to correct this. and the guy charged me $890 for this tune lol
if it can't win a race it better win a show
890????????????????????????????????????????????
Wheww, but umm whats your idle fuel pressure? Just curious.

you a/f should be 11.5-12 everytime u go WOT, and 890 of a tune.,..damn man, i hope he used vasaline...cuz ouch he did u hard
nope no vaseline, not even a kiss, but i did get a call the next day, after he didnt answer my calls lol. i dont know what the idle fuel pressure was, but im using 440cc injectors and the racetronix 255lph fuel pump. when i roll into the throttle like 1/3 of the way it starts to go but once i press the gas anymore than that it starts to pop and backfire, i just went out to try it again, i tried flooring it from 3500,4000,and 5000 and it still did the same thing each time. U would think at 5000 rpm it would go even with a lot of fuel but it doesnt.
can anyone answer these question
i make 3 pounds of boost at 2300 lol and 9 pounds at 3800rpm, is that normal?
and i thought the afr table should pretty much be a straight line or its supposed to be as straight as possible when u set the target afr, should it be almost straight?
I made 222.8 whp and 214 tq. is this about normal, or should i be expecting a little more, i was thinking around 235-245, i know its not that far off. but i think if it was tuned correctly it would be a little closer
if it can't win a race it better win a show
it should be as straight as possible...my a/f's are 11.5-12...12 in the low end, and 11.5 in the high to keep it safe
but u have an eco, would my afr be different for my motor
if it can't win a race it better win a show
