We're looking over some options for you folks.
What is the prevailing price of the Saab turbo and manifold combo?
How about the related coolant and oil lines required?
Last...what is typically done with these Saab setups for a downpipe?

I like this, hope it goes somewhere.
I had a fairly new 9-3 saab turbo and manifold priced at $650.
OK. That seems like a decent price for used. Thanks for the info!
How about the same parts new? Anyone made such a purchase, or know the going rate?

What are you working on bill?
We have a number of very sweet Super 15G's to offer, and I think they'd make a great manifold/turbo combo for Ecotec, much the same way as the Saab setup is popular. If we can bring it to you folks at or near the price of the Saab turbo and manifold, it could be a viable choice for homebuilders.
Our Super 15G is a bit higher flow than the Saab unit, and features a built in BOV that's fairly decent too. And of course, we can also support it very well with full hardware, water-cooling options...even complete oil line kits.
So, any and all info you folks would like to share about this is most welcome. Please and thank you!

Very cool, I'm sure you will have some interest. I'm not familiar with mitzu turbo's but how much power can you make on a super 15g?
I paid about $400 for the turbo and manifold. I used the stock saab oil lines. I purchased those through this site
here, roughly $100.
Most people use one of Brandon's (brandoson) downpipes. I don't remember what I paid for mine, but it's pretty much a bolt on and go affair.
More info and pricing on what you have in mind would be awesome. I'd like to see what you guys have in store
bill i think you guys make great kits. your quality is next to none. great people and good service. I think if you could make a simple cheap 6-7 psi intercooled kit for 650.00-700.00 I don't think you would be able to keep them on the shelfs. I believe every person that has a cavalier or a cobalt for that matter would call you when they get their income tax. or for that matter their first real pay check.
think about it. hmmm what do i want to buy? rims or a turbo kit. well with with this turbo kit i could make almost 200 whp... smoke civics...
it would be a wet dream for every highschool student.
Then what do you have... a gateway kit. a kit to get them addicted to boost and coming back for more. like legal crack

I love your enthusiasm, and thank you! However, the price point you mention is not possible with the quality of our components. That's "eBay" territory. But we still may well be able to do something that is a nice bookend to our current offerings!

Thanks very much for your info. Was that a used turbo and manifold (I hope)?
Did you also watercool the turbo?

This is right up my ally. I take it a lot of people are looking for the Saab setup then?
Listening intently - I was just going to post about people's saab/eco experiences. 15G @ 8-10 PSI = happy daily driver.
Bill, if you persue this avenue, could you consider having multiple stages of ktis as you do with your LSJ turbo conversion kits? For example start with a turbo, manifold and down pipe and build the kit from there to a full blown bolt on affair?
I didn't think we'd see a new option for a turbo kit on our cars, long since out of production...
bill i have the saab kit and new for the turbo ive seen as low as 300 and the manifold another 300.. You can easily get a complete saab kit for around 1100-1200. so as far as your pricing for the 15G for the complete kit i would think 1400-1500 would be a decent price if you decided to persue this.. let me know if you have any questions about the saab kit..
i paid $400 for the turbo, manifold, coolant lines, oil feed, oil return, and all the banjo bolts. for my downpipe i had a flange machined out of 3/8 hotroll and fabbed the pipeing myself.
I snagged a low mileage Mitsubishi turbo for $250. The manifold has eluded me for a long time though and Brandoson comes around every once in a while.
If you can price it under the 2450 price tag of the of the GMPP kit that crate engine has, I'd be interested.
I paid $250 for a log manifold and $650 for a new Garrett t3/t4 for comparable pricing.

Sir, based on your opinion of, and behavior towards, me and my company's product, I'd prefer if you don't participate in threads I use to speak to new and/or existing customers. You've demonstrated a fairly complete hatred for us. Based on that, I fear you'd only participate to cause trouble and/or attempt to further damage my company's reputation.
Is this a problem for you?

i demonstrated some comparable prices for you to look at and you turn around and be a deuche about it... it has nothing to do with your company, just you.
i posted here to give you an idea of what people are spending to turbo their cars.
TO HELP YOU WITH AN IDEA OF PRICES its a public forum, whether you like it or not its useful information. you dont like it, dont read it.
i came into this post neutral, you are the one who already tainted it.
