im about to buy a 01 cavy with a eaton m45 supercharger, the guy told me the dyno read 180hp, 175 ftlbs of torque, is boosting at 5lbs right now, does anyone know the max boost/hp/torque it gives out, im just curiois i cant find any info on that on the internet what so ever, im not going to boost it up anymore cause i dont wanna cause any motor damage due to my ld9 blowing up 2 weeks ago, any info is greatly appreciated =]
Low 200s(max) is what i have seen from other members.

219whp - I <3 whine
ah okay,200hp is more than enough for me, until i GET a job that i can build up the motor a lil more, now i got to part out my sunfire for a lil $ so i can get some new cams and what not for the cavy
ar you are buying. I think it can make a littmoe more with a better tune. It needs the GM reflash (it does not have it currently). The stock M45 puts out 4.5 psi per GM. People see anything from 4.5-7 stock. I'm seeing 9.5 on a 2.5 pulley and making 208 whp. Motor has 118k on it now. Get a 2bar map sensor and the GM reflahs with a custom tune and it would do better.

When my car just got the in 85-90 degree weather the S/C it register 178.6 WHP with absolute no mods to help it. In 35 degree weather I'm seeing as high as 6.7 psi @ 6500rpms with the standard GM pulley. A smaller pulley will give you a little more power, but if you go to small, you may want to invest in alky injection. Tune the computer, right off the bat will give ya more too. ^^Mr. "Too Whiney" overthere knows on that. haha

the absolute MOST i have ever heard of an M45 producing was something like 230whp. its been said by several that nobody will ever reach more than that with one. gary voyles hit 270whp with his but was supplementing with nitrous iirc. most produce below 200whp. there have only been a handful that have done 200+, most if not all had extensive builds.
if 200whp is all you want than this supercharger is perfect for you.

I have never heard of a 230whp on just the M45. I plan to blow that out of the water end of the year or next.

Truly what I would do to that car and it would be a good daily at that point is give it a GM reflahs and the 2 bar map, then maybe getting it tune. It is tuned on a 1 bar map, TPS vs. RPM, which can be done with good results, but since you can easily do the relfahs on that car I would.

ur kinda talking jibberish to me right now, i dont know much about boosting lol, i know he tuned with hp tuners

He had the car tuned with HPT., but it never had the reflash on it, or a 2 bar map sensor.

I almost want to do that build again but have decided to move on to a 2.3. I think I was spinning the S/C at about 17500 RPM when my engine hit its rev limit. I would have to do the math again but I think thats what it was.

Yeah, the M45 will be too small for the 2.3 your building anyway

Basically the same turbo I used before. Maybe I can pull off a 14.5@108.92 again, but Brandon says it will be a 14.0@115.
I wish the guy who bought my old car would dyno it. It was pretty impressive for being a auto. 13.90 before the ported charger (by me) and the meth injection
Mine got blown up.
