NEW "INLINE BOV"

this a quote from the site (http://www.steedspeed.com/blow_off_valves)

Steed Speed Sleeved In-Line Blow Off Valves
The Steed Speed BOV consists of a slip fitted pipe, sealed to the charge air pipes using high quality O-rings. The pipe is perforated with a ring of ports which are alternately covered or uncovered by means of a ring-shaped piston which wraps around the pipe. This piston is actuated by vacuum and boost pressure to open as soon as the throttle is closed.

Benefits:
Easy installation in even the tightest locations.
Superior flow due to large port area around entire circumference of the charge air pipe.
Excellent sealing against boost pressure leakage because boosted air can t apply pressure to the valve to force it open, unlike other designs which require adjustment for higher boost levels.

and the response time rivals that of the Synapse Blow Off Valve

so What do my fellow j-body and turbo j-body owners think?

Care to explain? I thought the same at first like it was some cheap design until I saw his other work.

x2 specially the cnc manifolds and what not. it looks completely functional, and if i got it, the ends would get v banded.

Yea the only downside I see to this would it looks like it would be better suited for higher hp applications(think of a 3" diameter tial lol) unless its able to be adjusted somehow with different spring tensions or something. And yea I dont realy like the way it seals but Im sure the guy did some leak testing on it. Like said just take a look at his other work, pretty good stuff.

This would also be easy as hell to install without having to worry about a flange, unless you decided to v-band it or whatever. I think I might search some other forums to see if anyone else has any experience with it. Honda boards never fail lol
