M62 - LS1 TB heads up.
Monday, November 15, 2010 9:17 PM
I've been working with a shop about producing a M62/HTV1320 to LS1 TB adapter. We have the final prototype 95% done and will be in my hands next week. Once everything is confirmed we'll be kicking them out for everyone to buy. The only catch is that the shop only deals in bulk, so for this to happen we need to sell atleast 5, well 4(im buying one).

Pics of the prototype:

I know its missing the throttle bracket and vacuum port.

The production version will be more refined and i do not have a price yet for them nor can i give you an estimate.

Also im 99% certain that the stock battery location will not work, nor would the stock intake work.

This thread is just a heads up that there will be a GP going up in a few weeks for these.

has no one tried the one on ebay yet? i take it, it needs to be that long to clear the power steering?

someone did, putty sure he made a post about it and all that it needed was a custom/reworked tb cable bracket.

Nice work! This should make it easy for everyone to use a TB with at least the same diameter as the supercharger inlet

Shouldn't be a problem.

The problem with the ebay one is that the stock eco TB cable isnt long enough. I've mocked up my LS1 tb in that location and the angle that the cable has to bend at will cause problems. The reasoning behind the length is to clear the power steering and reduce the angle on the stock eco TB cable.

It's looking like the final product should be near $100(maybe less).

i'd likely take one since i have the tb already. need to sell my spare m62 - l61 adapter first.

The cruise control "pin"/whatever is touching the insulation under the hood with the hood not fully latched.

So something needs to be tweaked.

any way to do the pipe and that bracket curved. should give the needed clearance yet not effect the flow.

Thats how I originally was going to orient mine as well. I'm going to try to rotate the throttle wheel to the front.

The cable wont reach.

And deleting the cruise will be the last option.
