For a 2.2 Ecotec using the stock TB, what's our best option to go with ? Will the OTTP or ZZP Cobalt version fit or not ?

Dont go with OTTP, I have one here. It took forever for them to ship it and they never included the gasket that they say they include.

Why not drill the adapter plate? I made my adapter plate and drilled an extra spot for meth when I decide to run it.
