Where to Purchase?

I'm in the market for a T04E .57 Trim, just uncertain of where to purchase it from. I was poking around on turbonetics, but I would think there is a better place/deal out there.

OR

A Similar turbo, shooting for about 300-350hp on the LE5 Hybrid setup

That's who I thought to go to, going to have to see if he can hook me up with a downpipe too...no shops around me will do work for 4 bangers.

Blaast performance has some remanufactured ones. They are located in canada so that may not help you out much. I got my T04E 57 trim from there. Now if I could keep a head gasket in my car I would still be enjoying it but hey.

Here are some other links I found while searching for my turbo. At the very least you could compare them to other sources. I ended up buying a T04E 57 trim from the JBO classifieds though.

What size exhaust a/r would be suitable for the build then? Sorry for the stupid question, I might just go with the Stage III 60 Trim, same as the neons use...

Do not go to them... Thats where I bought my turbo from... It would have been a great turbo with the exception of the glass bead they left in the bearing housing.

I know quite a few people (including me) that are running blaast turbos and so far I haven't heard anything bad about them yet and some of the cars are putting out decent numbers. Well I'm happy with my 300whp on 13psi.

Yea, I just tend toward the side of "never again" when such an oversight can result in not only turbine failure but Engine failure as well. I'm glad I caught it (even though I had to spend another $350 to RE-rebuild it)

On another note, the turbo I received also had a cracked turbine housing in the scroll section and upon a thorough crack check found more cracks around the internal wastegate port as well. This I replaced with a better housing that did not have such a substantial crack in the scroll section like the original did. This is a common issue with 0.48 SVO (Ford) style housings... but still... I expect re manufactured to be as good as new while keeping costs low by avoiding large hard parts being replaced that don't necessarily have anything wrong with them.
