Hey all. Im planning on a few slight changes this coming season and building a new header is in the mix. My question is, what grade of stainless should be used, if stainless at all, for the tubing and the flanges. Thanks for the input!
304 stainless steel is what was used to make my turbo manifold.
Schedule 40 304 stainless, or sch40 mild for the manifold. Just make sure if you go stainless that it is back purged to keep oxygen out of the welds. Otherwise you will have porosity in the welds. And they will break sooner.
