well, take into account a custom intake manifold, anwyhere from 200-500 bucks, plus the charger itself somewhere b/w 100-500 also, then the fuel mods, other stuff, etc. easily 2 - 3g's.

oh and btw, performance isn't cheap

You're going to need a way to spin the s/c, figure that out first and the rest will be cake.

It's been done... there was a post about it about a month ago.

The hardest part is finding a way to mount the S/C and get the air from it into the car.

As for costs - don't expect to save any money going custom with an S/C.

I am currently working on a supercharger setup for my 2200 S-10. I will say with fuel managament I will have less than $1000 in it. Most of my parts are used, and I have been very picky about what I want to use. I will try to lay out a list of the parts I will be using and the costs.

Neon Srt-4 intercooler $130
Mercedes M62 supercharger $140
Split Second controllable Map sensor Piggy back $110
Inlet pipe for the supercharger $40
2.4L injectors $40
Double stack Crank pulley $100
GM M62 core supercharger $75
Bosch BOV $30
Piping/ misc metal/ silicone connectors $150
Belt $25

Total $840

Whats happening S dime. long time same ideas I see.

See most of you people have to look out side the box on this one. Ever see the RSM for a 2200, they use a transfer bar to reach the pulley to the belt. basicly do that with a Eaton M90 off a 3.8 Thunderbird. then can be found cheap. Put the sc, where your battery sits and face it so it blows stright down, then run it through an i/c and back up to you stock manifold. Granted you have to add a blow off valve with this type of a set up, but that M90 is capable of 13psi. Let me draw up some pics and you will all see what I am talking about. And yes I know you will need brakets and Etc. I have a welder and I have done crazyier things than this.

Hey S dime are you still going to put it on a switch for on and off, cause I found a way so you can.

where would you mount the s/c? theres no room behind the engine, the hood wont close if you put it on top, and you cant put it over the exhaust manifold in the front.

I said mount it where your battery sits, and just move your battery where your stouck air box was.

No its not, I have had The M90 sitting in that excat location before just to see if it fits. It looks big, but fits with no prolbems. So an M62 shouldhave no prolbem fiting there, but I am talking about useing an M90

You use the stock Tb and intake mainfold. Basicly your useing the supercharger like a turbo this way.

physically fit, as in there's a fender in your way. i duno, just seems a little too tight in my opinion, not enough room. i haven't put an m90 in my engine bay though, so i'll just stfu for now then.

You leave your tb where it is, you are going to push air through it, not suck air like the GM s/c so there is no need to move it.

if your going through all that trouble to fit a sc there why not just use a turbo? im not tryn to be an ass just curious by the way.

Well This M90 can produce up to 23PSI , but more likely I would go a max of 10-15PSI
Figuring that could put you in the range of an extra 100-150hp over your stock power. And A nice thing about a supercharger, the power is always there, and smoother power curves.
