i Have a 2.2ohv with a turbo out of a 2001 porsh 911 3.6l and it makes great power at low boost levels (when it gets there) And im wondering now with my extra injectors and water injection why i can only get it to boost at 6 lbs w/out detonating. Im leaning towards the turbo now cuz its prolly flowing some serious cfm at 6psi.
check your extra injectors and make sure they're not clogged and are flowing the proper amount of fuel. also...what are you using to control those injectors? you might want to try adding more fuel in the rpm range where you're detonating if you havent already. and i know you said you have the water injection, but an intercooler would help greatly, and i'd suggest installing a front mount to cool that compressed air. if you're still detonating, you might want to invest in some ignition timing control to retard the timing when hitting boost.

450WHP Turbo Ecotec swap in the works...
ya i have a small fmic and my injectors are clean and operating fine its actually running very rich as it goes from almost misfiring to detonation. i use colder plugs (autolite 's) and am currently trying to see if tricking the iat will retard my timing.
if you do your homework or want to learn how to size a turbo correctly for your engine, check out Garret's website... it can be VERY helpful for that.. good luck
if your turbo was too big, you would be lagging very badly on your low end and have a great top end.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
