I got my spec stage 2 installed the other day and the master cylinder also had to be replaced. The guy who changed it said that that my clutch was so stiff before because the master cylinder had build up of dirt and grime. Like I could move it an inch and then it would be nice and stiff all the way down before the change.
Now that both have been changed the first 3 inches of pushing the pedal do nothing it's nice and loose and the next 3 inches are where the clutch engages. As soon as I let off even an inch it grabs right away. Is this normal for the new clutch and new master cylinder? Just want to make sure. It's probably me just being used to an old stiff clutch. Am I right? It's normal and it's all just in my head?
The clutch will stiffen up over some time, its a self adjusting clutch even the stock clutch feels like that when its new really soft, I thought something was wrong at first but it will break in nicely.

Yes officer I knew the speed limit was 50
i have the same trhing- my clutch was very very soft but now it is feelin a bit different and its getting stiffer like cold air intake said.
alright sounds good to me..how long does it take to start to stiffen up?
ive only had mine for about 800 miles or so- so it will probably be a decent amount- mine has just stiffend up just a little bit like 5 maybe 10 %..so i dk exactly how long till it gets as stiff as it will be forever..

I just had my Clutch replaced yesterday, and I have the same thing. You said it took about 800 miles to stiffen up 5 -10%. Was that highway driving or city driving. I mostly do highway.
i hear the spec clutches have softer pedal feel but great engagement.
My SPEC stage 2 broke in quick... but I went on a 6,000 mile roadtrip (to and from the GMSC Bash!) right after I installed it
Same feel here... 3 inches of nothing... then an inch where it engages.. really easy to dump it hard

Yep... exact same thing on my Spec Stage 3 clutch... 3 inches of nothing, then BAM... it grabs harder than a virgins pu$$y...
