k i went to my friends house n saw fluid on the ground i looked under and there a rectangular hole below the flywheel on the bottomof the case. doesnt look like anything broke off. was there another piece of metal over it or was there like a plug? its like 1 in wide n 2 in long easy to see am i going to haveta get a new tranny case or what?

its supposed to be there, its so you can check the clutch and flywheel and for the starter to turn the flywheel, you shouldn't be leaking fluid from there, its dry in there unless your clutch fluid is leaking, if your leaking tranny fluid, check the drain and fill bolts and the tranny oil pan

What color was the fluid? If it's clear, it's clutch (aka brake) fluid. If it's red or more likely brown, then it's transmission fluid. Either one coming out there is bad... get it fixed before it gets onto your clutch and ruins it.

how much would it cost to get fixed? think a tranny shop would look at it for free?

cant say how much it would cost, till you know whats leaking....... in either case, trans would have to come out.
