I just wanted to know if any of you have had this problem persistently? I had to have the cable changed about six months ago, and it broke on me last night also. I was coming home about 2am and I have no idea why but I apparently thought that it would be a good time to put it in park at a red light, then it wouldn't come out of park. My question is, since last time I had it changed, I wanted to know if its relatively easy to change myself any pics would be appreciated.

Um any chance that your shift cable is getting over heated (melting binding breaking ) because it is to close to your exhaust?Maybe check this out first then replace your cable it is a easy job.
