i own a 2003 cavilier and for the second time in a yaer the syncrows are going out in third gear is this a common problem or am i just too hard on the car?
maybe its just bad luck or u just to hard ont he car..i'm hard on my car a lot and i have had no problems yet....**crosses fingers**

i had them go on me a week after the blower went on. the car is now parked for the winter, and when spring comes i will be looking for a new tranny to be built for it. because the syncros are gone again.

as far as build the trans what are you using and what do you recommedn to combat the flaw GM has given us?

thanks guys i herd that it could be the clutch is miss aligned so we will see i am taking it in next week ill keep you posted
You've likely got a bent shift fork, and once that happens it chews the crap out of the synchros, the synchro's themselves aren't the problem.
