Clutch replacement, any how to's?

I will buy a manual if I decide to do this myself, but would like to know what others thought about their clutch swaps. Does it really suck and is worth the $200 extra to get it done, or is it like every other front wheel drive car.

I also downloaded a PDF formatted how to for swapping a stereo and it helped alot, is there a more in depth how to on the web? (for my car) I just have never really swapped a clutch by myself and would like to use all the help I can get. (i'm a perfectionist and am confident I can do this, but there's always those "things to watchout for" that even pros can mess up on.)

how many hours did it take you to do it.

TOOLS: I need a cherry picker, basic hand tools, manual, and whatelse. Will I need more slave cylinder fluid(which is brake fluid right, and uses the same resevoir???)

Thanks for the input,

i did reply to your other post... i dont think a clutch replacement is going to do anything for you... when you start to notice your clutch slipping and the engine reving at full throttle and the car not accelerating properly that is when you need a new clutch...
it takes aprox... 6 hours i believe to replace a clutch...

it takes 3 hours when you know what you do to change a clutch.

It took me a weekend for my first time changing mine. Thats how much I would set aside if you do it yourself. I would say that it is not worth the 200 to have it done cause it wasnt to hard, Just time consuming.

I didnt use a cherry picker I just weaseled it out the side. I do believe DOT 3 is what you should use and it should go in the clutch reservoir the brakes do not share.

comes out the bottom really well, only thing I would say is to split the ball joints, pull the bolt ALL the way out, lol, once in high school, that stumped me for a while
