B & M Install Q? How To....
Wednesday, July 05, 2006 2:57 PM
Ok, Ive read thru the instuctions...does anyone have any picts they can show how to do it properly?

Yes, Ive searched under B & M, but cant find any on it.

1. Need to know where the computer is on the 2004, under the dash? Y or N
2. Are the wires easy to locate?
3. Is there anything I should know about this install, or do at the same time?

Thanks for all the help, in advance..I know...I sound like a newb for these questions, but with wiring I want to know exactly what I'm getting into.

Thanks to all on the Org...As always

Car computor not needed. I know that there is a huge write up on this. There is 2 black and red wires on the connection to the tranny. The black and red wire that you will be needing is the one with the thick black stripe on it, the other one is a skinny black stripe on it. So here is where which wire goes to: red from B&M goes to red with (thick)black stripe, black from B&M goes to light blue with white stripe.
I hope this helps you.

Here is a picture on the topic.

There are two plugs going into the transmission, you want the top one. If you have the ECO there maybe a radiator hose sitting right over the top of where you need to get to.

The only difference is that there is a radiator hose that goes right over that area on the ecotec. I had to move the hose out of the way to get to that top plug. But that plug is in the same exact spot as on the ecotec.
