Where can I find parts for the 4t45e? Also how much power can the 4t45e withstand stock?
Here's wht a Quick Search turned up.
I used to have the E-Mail for another gentleman that worked for GM's Drivetrain Division, but that PC got toasted in a storm. Anyway, he said GM will be releasing performance parts foth the 4T40E & 4T45E transmissions. As of right now, you can get a torque converter built and possibly the B&M ShiftPlus.
BTW, it uses the same TC as the 4T40E and the 3T40.

sweet man thanks. for the info. Also where can I get torque converter built or buy one at? My other question, any idea when they will release parts for the transmision thanks.
Psst... your 2001 Cavalier has a 4T40E in it.... no Cavalier saw a 4T45E from the factory....
psst.. I have a 06 cobalt SS with the 2.4L H.O. Ecotec w/ the 4t45e automatic transmission and I was hoping someone would know where I could get performance parts for it.
Ok, just making sure... your registry only lists a 2001 Cavalier, not a Cobalt SS
Some J-body owners out there get confused about their transmissions
yeah so anyone have an idea where I can get a torque converter, or point me in a good way. I guess I have to update my profile
Also where can I order the B&M shiftplus kit at? and will it work on the 4t45e?
Contact David S. the Camaro Guy, he's got the last of the Yank Converters, or see his E-Bay store davidautoauction. Also look into
Yank Converters, or
TCS Performance, they can do a custom built converter.
