Questions ..

ok my synchro for 5 has been grinding and ive read alot of poeple saying its cheaper to buy a jy one, also i just learned that i have a bad throw out bearing, so i found a manual tranny isuzu for 250 plus shipping....

so heres my questions, if i buy this tranny how long will it take me to drop the one in my car and put the new one in, i dont want much downtime cause this is my daily driver. also, im building this car for nitrous, around 210-230 horses, i want to put a clutch kit in it but not sure which is for me, also ive read about people swapping 1-2 gears from a 2.4 tranny and putting them in a 2.2 tranny, how hard is this? does it have to be from a isuzu 2.4 or will a getrag work? also does it mattter if the gears are from a manual or a automatic 2.4 tranny?

sorry for the unknowledgeable this isnt my field....

Some people can drop and change the tranny in 2 hours, some it takes 2 days, either way, it depends on your skills.

^ Lets hope so anyway

But it isn't rocket science, just takes a little know-how.

As for your last question, I'm pretty sure the gears from an automatic can't be used in a manual. Autos use a differant style gear than sticks.
