okay ....not sure what to do but every time i drive and stop at a light, and put it in to 1st gear i press the clutch down and shift it grinds or when i downshift grinds tooo...what does that mean ...does it mean that my clutch is goin bad and its not gripping of do i need to change the tranns fluid, cause i have a 98 z24 and it annoys me cause i kno how to drive 5speed but jus checkin if its my clutch or trans??::fluid:: thnx guys....

i know what the problem is and its netiher of them, theres air in the clutch oil flow, all u need to do is loosen the valve for the clutch oil under the hood, its like a little rod looking type thing, just lossen it get some one to press down the clutch slowly and hold it there, while there holding it tighte the valve and ur good to go, but u have tio manualy opull the clutch back up cause it will stay down

i had the exact same problem and thats how i fixed it

p.s. you might need to do it about once every 2 weeks or so

show me a pic of ur engine and i'll label where the valve is for u

hey when I downshift to second it grinds. But when going from 1st to 2nd its ok. Sometimes if I push the shift knob a little up to first but not totally in, then go second its ok. Recently I replaced the shifter cables so they should be fine. btw i have a 2.4 cavy 96'
