limited slip

Im looking for a limited slip in my 99 z24 and in my 93 achieva both are 5 speeds. but i am not allowed to have one at the track i race at. is there one that would work when im driving but can still let one of the tires turn if I were to jack up one side of the car since that is how they check to make sure our front ends are not locked

No

And why would you cheat? I'd be pissed if I raced in your bracket and knew about this.

I dont think you would have ever raced with me or in the same class as me since i race on dirt.

a) that's cheating
b) you would need a helical differentual which comes factory in the Newer Nissan Sentra's...

do you of anywhere to go to get one of them. yes it is cheating but im tired of not winning. everybody has motor work done now witch is cheating. i am getting beat in the corners because when it turns to a dry slick track it is like ice. the best way to get around then is stay down low where when the rwd cars power slide around they dont get to about a foot of the track where it is still tacky. but the left front just spins because of the body roll

Then do this learn to power slide in your car yes you have an E-brake and yes its hard to learn to "control" but you have to talk to the car nad learn what its sayign to you so tha you work together. And second if your sick f the say get sway bars and stiffer springs poly urethane bushings. Or get a better car if you have to run stock. I am not bagy on J's i love mine but stock they get beat by alot of other cars.

the corners are to long for the e brake and when you do slide the rear a little it kills my speed. i have tried a bigger sway bar and stiffer springs but it makes it so when the track is tacky i cant run the top side at all i need body roll on the top side of the track. and i have the poly bushings. when this class started the best all stock cars where escort gts or any twin cam gm car or a few neons were and huyndi cars. but i will always stick with gm

GM makes the one for the HM262. its the clutch type so its a LSD, it has to see 100RPM siffrence befor it locks, IE G80

Yes but think of it this way chris.... if you have the car in the air and the wheels are stopped when you spin one wheel it will be spinning technically 100 rpms faster causing the other wheel to spin the same way as well so it wouldnt work.

Also i didnt see tires anywhere in your mods list and your suspension and brakes are only as good as your tires. i suggest getting a good set of tires that meet the requirements of your class.

No, it would work like that Tom, if one wheel is going Zero and the other is going 100 RPM. i dont think the Tec is going to sit and spin it that fast, he probly just feels for abnormal restence, hence why a phatom grip LSD would not pass.

the thing about tires is that they have to be D.O.T aproved and i have to use different sizes for each track to get my gear ratio right. also the less side wall i have the better they seem to work

A quaife differential with the preload springs (bellville washers) removed would act as you wish.

a insert type lsd would work, if your preload springs are light enough...... then it would only lock under acceleration.... and they would never be able to tell by spinning the wheel.
