Well a friend gave me free a 98' sunfire, the only problem its the tranny...I found a 02 tranny, axle and clutch for $150, I don't know if they are the same, or will work. I call to the dealer, and they tell me that I will have problem with clutch pump, TOB and some other stuff, but I think if the tranny its in same car and engine type, this should be a direct fit

the engine is a 2.2 with mtx tranny


today i look to both tranny.

the tranny mounts looks the same

The 02 tranny have different slave and clutch pump, and selector lever

the guy is selling to me all I can need for the same price......include tranny, clutch/ pressure plate, clutch pump with slave and shifter with cables

I think that can be done cause its the same shell with same engine, if the selector level its different.

what can i do? swap all the new things or buy a 98 tranny?
