Well this is the 3rd time I've had to 'fix' this....starting to piss me off a little...
Don't know if you can tell, but this is the Shifter fork assembly. That little hole there, has a roll pin that goes through it to allow you to shift gears. Well, that little $0.17 piece of metal keeps breaking/shearing/falling out. I have to drop the sub-frame, unhook the transmission mounts, and lower the engine/tranny together to enable me to get to that piece. We drilled out the old roll pin, and then air hammered the new one in. This last time we welded the outside of it, and it was great for about 10 mins, then the weld broke. I have a good 2 inches of free play in the shifter, and I'm afraid I'm gonna break it again.
Has anyone ever had this problem before? What did you do to solve it? New tranny?
Thanks!

like i said before, use a BOLT and grind off the ends of it, then weld it in, grind it down so you can shift.
OR buy the whole get-up.
