It would probably cost more than just running down to autozone and picking up a reman ($875 for the one I bought).

ok, i thought that since you are taking yours out of the car anyway... why not drop in a better one for a better price that just bolt on???!?!

really just bolt in? dont know much on the swap i was under the assumption that no other trannys have the same tranny mounts as the isuzu cause i need something that i can just throw in there and go, what about master and slave cylinder? same? cause i have brand new slave and master cylinders that is for my isuzu.

you will need the NVG front mount and extend 1 shifter cable (about 1.5") easy to do. thats all. the slave comes with the tranny and the master works just fine with it.
i did rebuilt my isuzu 2 years ago, and now i regret it, i should have gone with the NVG instead which i'm doing now.

i do not know how to extend the shifter cable and if i have to weld the new mount in, cant do it. if the mount will bolt into the stock isuzu frame mount then thats a possibility i will search it and find out more

I spent about $500 for a local shop to rebuild my Isuzu ( all new bearings races and syncros ). That is not counting the $100 spent on 2.2 3rd and 4th gears, and the $400 spent on a custom LSD in an older stronger Isuzu diff.

I thought about switching to a NVG or a Getrag, but no Org member is willing to pay for my Isuzu. Besides it feels a lot better after the rebuild that it did before

here is what you need to read, click me
there is some pics and it explain what you have to do.
of course, after my rebuilt, it felt better, but now with the engine built, the isuzu cant take the 8k rpm shift hence why i'm going to the getrag.
