really needing a new(er) isuzu cause mine took a crap on me and i posted a wtb in the regional and nothing so far but i really need to get my car on the road asap so what have you guys paid to have new gears, syncros, and bearings put in your isuzu's?
"sometimes the respect is more important..."
also whats kinds of stuff can i ask the tranny shop about for beefing it up a litle bit cause come spring boost will be hittin it
"sometimes the respect is more important..."
Yah..throw it away...get a junk yard one or a reman..
thats what i was afraid off. i want something reliable for when boost comes but for 900. . . .with no lsd i dont know junk yard for 300 but no idea what shape it is in. wow what to do. . . .
"sometimes the respect is more important..."
get a junkyard one..i had 260xxxkm on my isuzu an it was great. Hell i threw my isuzu out after my swap lol
but again i doubt something from the junk yard is gonna hold up to boost come spring what are somethings a shop can do to beef the isuzu up

get a brand spanking new NVG for 750$ from EP
not looking to go work on a swap there magik thats why i asked for isuzu pricing, thanks tho
"sometimes the respect is more important..."
ok, i thought that since you are taking yours out of the car anyway... why not drop in a better one for a better price that just bolt on???!?!
really just bolt in? dont know much on the swap i was under the assumption that no other trannys have the same tranny mounts as the isuzu cause i need something that i can just throw in there and go, what about master and slave cylinder? same? cause i have brand new slave and master cylinders that is for my isuzu.
"sometimes the respect is more important..."
you will need the NVG front mount and extend 1 shifter cable (about 1.5") easy to do. thats all. the slave comes with the tranny and the master works just fine with it.
i did rebuilt my isuzu 2 years ago, and now i regret it, i should have gone with the NVG instead which i'm doing now.
i do not know how to extend the shifter cable and if i have to weld the new mount in, cant do it. if the mount will bolt into the stock isuzu frame mount then thats a possibility i will search it and find out more

I spent about $500 for a local shop to rebuild my Isuzu ( all new bearings races and syncros ). That is not counting the $100 spent on 2.2 3rd and 4th gears, and the $400 spent on a custom LSD in an older stronger Isuzu diff.
I thought about switching to a NVG or a Getrag, but no Org member is willing to pay for my Isuzu. Besides it feels a lot better after the rebuild that it did before

there is some pics and it explain what you have to do.
of course, after my rebuilt, it felt better, but now with the engine built, the isuzu cant take the 8k rpm shift hence why i'm going to the getrag.
awesome info i found that once before but didnt save the pictures. i spent like 2 hours this mornin lookin for it, i must have looked right past it but thanks magik, and hey man i wanted to throw out a thanks cause you turned me onto this swap.
"sometimes the respect is more important..."
cool, i had the link saved so i didn't have to search.
